Goose Bottom Pond is a private 17 acre farm located on Rt. 39 (Maury River Road) 1.4 miles north of the
Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA. We offer overnight boarding of horses during shows at the Horse Center,
or at any other time that we have stalls available. Our location close to I-81 and I-64 makes our farm convenient for
travelers needing a place to stop for the night. The price of $25.00/horse/stall/night includes a 12' X 12' stall with initial
shavings, feed and water buckets, private turn-out in a small grass paddock if desired, use of cold water wash stall,
trailer parking and an 11:00pm check by the property owners.
Our stable is a 5 stall plus tack room 36' X 36' center aisle pole barn. Stalls
are 12 X 12 with Equustall flooring and come complete with water and feed buckets. Guests are always
welcome to use the small washstall attached to the barn, as well as the conveniently located small grass paddock .
Trailers may be parked at the barn while horses are here.
Guests are expected to provide their own food, supplements, and hay. The stalls will be clean, bedded
with shavings, and water buckets filled when you arrive. We appreciate daily cleaning of the stalls during
your stay, and are happy to do a bedtime check each night during which we will water and feed hay if the owners so specify. Payment
by cash or check is due at the end of your visit. A negative coggins is required.
